School Supplies 2018/19

Supply List - Kindergarten

*There will be some items that will be supplied using our kindergarten budget like the specially made journals, the little pencils that we buy in a big pack, other kinds of items of which we have a class set and replace as needed, etc..

Below is a list of things your kindergarten student will need to bring as close to the first day of school as possible:

Inside/Gym shoes with good grip

            - these will stay at the school all the time

            - please only send tie up shoes if your child has mastered shoe tying

1 Backpack

They will also need a lunch kit/bag of some kind (kindergarten has 2 snacks and lunch throughout the day, so you can pick a good size based on that).

Optional: Water bottle that they can keep on their desk.

Thank you and I look forward to seeing you in kindergarten!

Grade 4 Supply List

• 2 large white erasers

• 2 large glue sticks

• 1 package of lined paper

• 1 set pencil crayons

• 1 pencil box (sturdy & large enough to fit your pencil-crayons,

pencil, eraser, 1 glue-stick and scissors)

• 10 duo-tangs – solid colors only please – each color will be

assigned to a specific subject. I may exchange these folders so

that I can reduce transition time by saying “take out your yellow

writing folder” etc. So please don’t label your folders. I will ensure

your child gets what color they need.

• 2 pocket folders – cardstock (not plastic)

• 1 pair of headphones for computer use (to stay at school). Large

noise-cancelling headphones are the best. Small ear-buds tend to

get lost or taken home in pockets, but they are acceptable.

• 1 (Size: 1” to 2”) quality take-home binder – zipper closure

• 10+ quality wood pencils. Many pencils do not have the graphite

centered properly and break easily. I like Staedtler wooden

pencils. (Staedtler blue wooden pencils usually show up at Costco

in August for cheap (less than $10 for 50 (bulk) and include eraser

caps and a pencil sharpener. These are excellent pencilsJ)

• 1 ruler

• 1 pair 6” scissors (optional) – we do have almost enough in the

class but if you have an extra pair at home, or your child would like

a new pair please bring them).

Please label all supplies with your child’s name or initials except the

duo-tangs and pocket folders. Your child may already have many

of the items on the list. Do not hesitate to send supplies from past

years. Thank you!

Mr. Nelson
