School Supplies

Kindergarten Supplies - 2024/2025:

o 1 pencil box or bag - an 8”x 5” x 3” is the biggest they would need. If they
are too small it is really hard for students to find things.
o 1 white eraser
o 1 large glue stick
o 1 pair of 4” scissors (pointed ends), left-handed if you student requires
them.
o Inside/Gym shoes with good grip.
These will stay at the school all of the time.
 Please only send tie up shoes if your child has mastered shoe tying
as they are in and out of their shoes at least 4x/day.

o 1 Backpack
o 1 Lunch kit/bag of some kind. Kindergarten has 2 snacks and lunch
throughout the day, so you can pick a good size based on that. On Fridays
they have one snack break.
FYI – we have a fridge and a microwave in our classroom.
o Optional - 1 Water bottle that they can keep on their desk.
 We have specific journals, crayons, pencils and sharpeners that our school is
providing for all kindergarteners!

GRADE ONE 2024/2025:

PLEASE PUT YOUR CHILD’S NAME OR INITIALS ON EACH ITEM SO THAT IF THEY ARE MISPLACED OR DROPPED ON THE FLOOR THEY CAN BE IDENTIFIED AND RETURNED

-     1 school bag for transporting materials to and from school

-     1 2 inch binder with 5 dividers. Please label the dividers for Math, Language, Social Studies, Science, Other assignments. 

-     4 interlined Hilroy scribblers with broken lines

      (2 of these should be half lined and half blank – no wire spirals please)

-     1 centimeter ruler (30 cm long)

-     1 primary pencil (thick one)

-     6 HB pencils (sharpened)

-     6 functional erasers (the decorator kind don’t erase well)

-     1 white glue (liquid kind)

-     3-4 large glue sticks

-     1 pair of scissors of good cutting quality

-     4 empty duotangs

-     3 pocket folders

-     1 Blue Hilroy Studio scrapbook (11X14 inch) with coil binding (the others fall apart) - THESE ARE USUALLY AVAILABLE AT STAPLES

-     1 set ear buds or head phones in labeled zip lock bag

• 2 sets wax crayons (1 for the fall, 1 for later)
• 1 set of pre-sharpened pencil crayons for after Christmas
• NO FELT MARKERS PLEASE
• 1 pencil box that will hold the crayons, glue sticks and pencils
• 1 pencil sharpener with holder for shavings
• 1 box of Kleenex tissue
• Phys Ed. or indoor shoes with good grip for gym (*please do not send tie-ups if your child has not mastered independent shoe lace tying. It is frustrating for your child, when shoe exchange should be quick and easy.)

Please send all supplies (that will fit) in a labeled shoe box or container on our first day so we can organize and put things in their place on the first days.  I will store your child's extra supplies and hand them out as needed. 

Grade 2 Supply List 2024/2025

unless your child can do up their own laces**
• 1 3-inch binder (in good working condition) with 5 dividers. Please label the dividers for
Social, Math, LA, Science, and Health.
• 3 duotangs
• 3 pocket folders
• 3 scribblers half blank, half lined (no wire spirals please)
• 1 set ear buds or head phones in labeled zip lock bag (to be left at school)
• 12 HB or medium lead pencils
• 4 white good quality erasers
• 1 package of sharpened pencil crayons
• 1 package of wax crayons
• 1 white glue (liquid kind)
• 6 glue sticks
• 1 pencil box
• 1 package of 4 color highlighters
• 2 boxes of tissue (does not need labeled as we bring out one at a time)
• 1 30cm ruler

Every item must be labelled.  I will store extra pencils, erasers and glue sticks so they don’t get lost or wasted
